The nail-biting 1999 Football League Second Division play-off Final...

Both teams needed the promotion and meant serious business, but ultimately no goals were scored until the 81st minute when Gillingham broke the stalemate.

With a second Gillingham goal in the 87th minute, some City supporters began to leave the stadium, consigning themselves to another year in the Second Division - until the unthinkable happened.

City scored in the 90th minute, and then again in the 95th. Its unclear how many City fans made it back into the stadium to witness a goal-less extra time, and the eventual penalty shoot-out. For those that did, it was goalkeeper Nicky Weaver's save that launched City on the road back to the Premiership.

This game works fantastically as one of our designs, where you can see the tension built up until the 81st minute, the rapid three goals that followed, extra-time, and a penalty shoot-out to boot.
